MANILA — On 30 November, the Knights of Rizal (KOR) unveiled the results of its recent Supreme Council election. Among the newly elected officers is Sir Alexander Onia, KGOR, who has been appointed Supreme Archivist & Overseas Representative for the Rizalian Year 2026–2028.

From Amsterdam Chapter to Global Representation

Sir Alexander has served with distinction as Area Commander for the Kingdom of the Netherlands — a role that saw him oversee and support the activities of Rizalian chapters across the Netherlands. Before that, he was Commander of the Amsterdam Chapter, where he contributed to strengthening the local Rizalian community and its outreach efforts.

His election to the Supreme Council represents a significant milestone not only for him but for Rizalians across Europe and beyond. As Overseas Representative, Sir Alexander is now entrusted with bridging connections between chapters worldwide, ensuring that Rizalian values, heritage, and solidarity transcend geographic boundaries.

Custodian of the Order’s Legacy

As Supreme Archivist, Sir Alexander will play a vital role in preserving the Order’s records, history, and institutional memory. This responsibility ensures that the legacy of the Order — its founding principles, its milestones, and the contributions of its members — remains alive for future generations.

With both archival responsibilities and global representation under his charge, Sir Alexander’s new dual role underscores the trust and confidence placed in him by his fellow Knights. It signals the Order’s commitment to both honouring its heritage and expanding its global outreach.

Looking Ahead

Members and supporters of the Knights of Rizal worldwide now look forward to Sir Alexander’s leadership and vision. His election brings optimism that under his stewardship, the Order’s international chapters will grow stronger, more connected, and more faithful to the ideals of unity, service, and Rizalian nationalism.

On behalf of the Rizalian community, we congratulate Sir Alexander Onia — and wish him and the entire new Supreme Council every success as they embark on this new chapter. Mabuhay!
