The Knights of Rizal Amsterdam, in partnership with Ayuda sa Amsterdam, successfully launched Kapihan sa Amsterdam on Friday, 2 May 2025, at Moses and Aaron Church, in collaboration with the Sant’Egidio Nederland.
Kapihan sa Amsterdam is a warm and welcoming afternoon gathering for kamustahan—a chance for Filipinos in the Netherlands to connect, share stories, and build community over a comforting cup of coffee.
The event is held alongside Ayuda sa Amsterdam and Dokters van de Wereld (NL) Free Monthly Medical Consultation, providing attendees the added benefit of speaking with healthcare professionals about any health concerns.
The inaugural session featured a community conversation facilitated by Author Maya Butalid, author of Chasing Windmills, a book that shares her personal journey as a Filipino migrant in the Netherlands.
